Year 2014☆

29 December 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20606258/

Everyone, how are you doing at the end of the year?

Recently, I am occupied with the shooting of the movie, ”My Sassy Girl 2” in Korea.

You may be aware that Korean dramas get shot busily on a really tight schedule to be able to be broadcasted twice a week. However, I have the impression that Korean movies are shot taking a lot more time than dramas.

In any case I am trying to take care of my condition for the shoot every day because I need to be able to concentrate well on work. As part of this care, I have a Hokkairo! (a portable heating pad) on my back and tummy.

When I look back at 2014, I feel thankful that I could find many challenges for myself in many pieces of (film and drama) work. I am now over the age of 26 years old which was the age my mother got married and my acting roles of being a wife or a mother has suddenly increased. I feel strange about it somehow but I hope that I can really act down to earth, for these positions of women which I have not experienced yet.

These few years are the time that I was searching for ways of improving communication and overcoming the language barrier whilst having an increased amount of work abroad. I am afraid that I still have many short comings but nevertheless I think I can enjoy conversing with other people more than before and I less often don’t feel good about not being able to communicate.Through a life we can learn day by day, so I wish I can broaden my view much more and also that my interests widen in 2015.

Thank you very much for your consistent support.I am always grateful that I have received your heart warming fan letters and presents even though I don’t have many opportunities to say thank you directly. This photo was taken about the concept of Christmas in Korea.

By the way, in 2015, a story-telling stage performance “Tokyo” is waiting for me at the opening of the new year.

I would be happy if you all could come to the Tokyo art theatre on the 7th of January since we will have time for a questions and answers session on top of the book reading, I hope I (we) will have a good time talking to you as well as seeing your faces. Please make an effort to come to the stage.☆
The following photo shows all the members of “Joshi-z” who could gather together finally the other day.

We were engaged in girls’ talk while having a yummy meal. When all the members get together, the girls’ tornado is to be formed.

Everyone, have a great new year!

Unexpected Trap

21 December 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20563342/

This winter is cold!

I feel cold easily and I am trying to make myself warm somehow by wearing quite a lot of clothes like wearing piles of down clothes. I continue to go back and forth between Japan and Korea as usual. It is particularly cold in Korea and I experienced the horrifying temperature of minus 12 degrees the other day.

I am looking forward to Spring.☆

On a holiday in Korea, I suddenly wanted to eat sushi and went to a sushi train by myself for the first time.☆

Because I have not been to Korean sushi train shops much, I was curious to know if there is any differences to Japanese ones. To start with I grabbed my favourite; a big sweet shrimp.
I was thinking “Korean sweet shrimp is redder than the Japanese one” when suddenly I was told “Dear customer, this is a sample for display.” by a sushi chef who was making sushi in front of me.

“It’s a sample. ?!” I was rather puzzled, but when I look at it closely, I realised it really was a beautiful yet fake one, like the ones lined up on show in shop windows. I wonder why I did not recognise it as a fake to start with, even before looking at it carefully and then I felt embarrassed.

a0271239_23183440

The sushi chef said “I will make a prawn sushi for you” and he looked like he was feeling sorry for me somehow….(lol)

Because sample food cannot be eaten, everyone, please be careful not to take it by mistake (^^)

The photo is an illumination in the international terminal of Haneda airport.

a0271239_23183625

My heart feels cleansed by sparkling lights even when I am exhausted from travelling, because I love shinning objects such as illuminations, ever since I was small.

The Reason Why Mama & Papa Live

25 November 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20428589/

I have been in a drama called “The reason why mama and papa live.” on Thursdays, which started last week.

The script made me think a lot. It has made me think about how important and how hard it would be to be positive despite ones condition when one becomes seriously ill.

I really hope you can watch the drama thinking about your precious family. The drama is on from 9pm every Thursday.

Recently, while I was working in Korea again, I had the opportunity to have a meal with my Japanese friend who is studying in Korea.

a0271239_19414969

We had a great time doing girls’ talk in a restaurant which has delicious omelettes. ☆

a0271239_19415219

Please do not miss the next “Hello, strangers” episode, since we are experiencing a country life style in Korea.!

I feel excited on Thursdays since the TV programs that I appear in are on air in both Japan and Korea–. (^^)

Autumn Days

19 November 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20401919/

Everyone, have you been enjoying this autumn?

I am fully enjoying this season, mainly by reading books and eating a lot of food.

My favourite thing was constantly eating Kaiji grapes up until the other day. Those are reddish purple grapes which can be eaten with the skin.

Every year they are so delicious when in season. I love eating them, every day even! It is a pity that we can’t see much of the grapes anymore now because their peak season does not last long —. As soon as I started missing the grapes, my favourite became fried oyster and I am often eating them. (lol)

I and my mother often used to make an effort to fry oysters. We used to share the different cooking tasks; but nowadays we have found it difficult to find the opportunity to cook. If I go to my parents’ house, I like to eat a lot of freshly made oyster fries.☆

By the way, this information is allowed to be released now: On the 7th of January next year, I am going to appear on stage reading stories from books.

The stage will be in front of a live audience and I feel like I will start shaking with nervous energy even now, after having had a long break since my live show, but I want to do my best to prepare for it.
Ticket booking has already started and I would be delighted if you can come to the performance.

a0271239_1413125

Recently, I was able to have my own free time after a long period, so I had a relaxing time doing things such as chatting with a friend of mine while eating a cake, which is my standard routine on holidays; and going for a walk

a0271239_1412911

I heard that in Korea, the air temperature has already dropped down below zero at night; however, it seems like in Japan we still can go for walks for a while more, with sunny days.

This winter, I cannot afford to catch a cold and I am very mindful about my health condition every day.♪

Song of the Beginning

21 October 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20309282/

I appear in the TV program called ”Hello Strangers” on MBC in Korea from 11:15pm every Thursday.

It is a program about a house shared by 9 foreigners over a period of 1 night and 2 days and it shows what they talk about and about what they learn of the cultures and values of different countries including Korea.

I acknowledge that I have been learning a lot in the show as a Japanese national working in Korea, even though the shooting time is early.

The show has only started recently but since our staff and I have been making our best efforts to improve the program, I would be delighted if a lot of people could watch it!

The program is on every Thursday in Korea! I hope you will watch it.♪

Although I have been busy travelling between Japan and Korea recently, I somehow managed to find a time slot to watch the movie “Begin Again” in Korea.

a0271239_19383892

The Japanese Movie title is “Song of Beginning” and I heard that it will be on screen in Japan in February next year.☆

I like Keira Knightley, but I liked her before as well. There were many scenes in the movie and she always managed to convey different emotions just by the way she looks at things.

It is a movie set to music and Keira sings as well. It is a nice movie that makes you feel like wanting to feel the wind blowing in your face as you walk home after watching that movie. I like the main song “Lost Stars” from the movie.

To be honest with you, I don’t have confidence that I understood the movie 100% because it is spoken in English with Korean subtitles. However, recently I am trying to watch movies without hesitation even in Korean cinemas.

When I watch a movie in a foreign language, I can come up with a different view of the movie than what I would get if it were in Japanese because I try to comprehend the content, not just using the language. I feel that I can laugh or cry easily about trivial stuff when watching foreign movies as if I had a child’s heart.

Recently after I came back to Japan, I went to a café alone after an English lesson. There, I sent an email to my Korean friend and then I ordered some drink.

I ended up saying in a loud voice “Can I have hot Darjeeling tea, with melon?” I was disappointed (lol).

In my brain, Japanese, English and Korean got mixed up and Milk and lemon were blended after all. (lol)

It looks as though my brain had better have a rest for a while after I drink black tea….

More Notification to Come!

9 October 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20273711/

Thank you to the people who have watched “Incident reports of the investigator boy Kindaichi N(neo)”!

blog

In the last episode, the continued one, there was an unexpected criminal, Gisele, where her past and clever tricks were revealed.

Playing the role of a woman that has held pains in her past made me think a lot of things.

Now that we are in October, “Bullet train (Shinkansen) of wives” will be on air on NHK Sogo on the 13th and “Unbelievable mysterious stories ’14 Autumn Special edition” on TV Fuji on the 18th.

“Bullet train (Shinkansen) of wives” which has its background in Showa era and “Unbelievable mysterious stories” where I appeared for a second time, has been described again as the mysterious world that has an unresolved ending.

Please look out for both of them.Continuing on another notice, I am appearing in the CM of Yakult which is currently on air, as Mr Yo Oizumi’s wife.

I am very delighted to be able to be in this CM because I have drunk Yakult without fail every morning since I was small.

I often drink Yakult in Korea as well since I receive it as a giftー☆

It is nine years since I acted with Mr Yo Oizumi in the movie “Simsons”!

He played the role of a coach and I was his trainee and this time I played the role of his wife.

I have felt time has passed but I was also surprised by him since he is young as ever and has not changed at all.

The CM tells a heart-warming story, so please enjoy the current one as well as the continued stories.

The Power of Clothes

18 September 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20208119/

a0271239_20155226

Did you enjoy episode 8 of: “The notes of the investigator boy, Kindaich, N (neo)”?

I would be happy if you can make sure to watch the last episode which will be aired on the 20 of September.

I appeared in Gothic Lolita fashion that I have never done before and I had fun wearing a fashion that I usually don’t try.

Then, I totally had started missing wearing the costume even when I thought about the time the shooting was finished.

Once I had a tea time in costume in a café when I had a break during the shooting. The workers in the café may have wondered what happened to me but they welcomed me. Thanks to those of the shop that time. ☆

By the way, recently I was on photo shoots and am preparing for next work after I, without any troubles, finished being the MC of the Japan and Korea friendship festival as I announced last time here.

a0271239_20154377

The photo was taken at the Japan and Korea friendship festival and I was in my casual clothes before changing into a stage costume.

I am into knee length skirts as before.

It gives me comfort♪

It is gradually getting cooler in Japan and Korea, and it is almost time for Autumn clothes to be appearing. I would like to get different kinds of new clothes.

Incident Notes by the Investigator Boy Kindaichi, N(neo)

10 September 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20183834/

I will be appearing in the drama, ”Incident notes by the investigator boy Kindaichi”N(neo)”!

I became Gisele who is a little mysterious girl in Gothic Lolita Fashion and the shooting days I spent with the cast of all different generations have become my unforgettable and precious memories this summer.

I am really looking forward to it being on air. Please make sure to watch me as the role of Gisele Tsukuyomi in the “The murdering case in Rose Cross Mansion” episode.♪

http://www.ntv.co.jp/kindaichi2014/

Moreover, and again since last year, I am going to be an MC at the “Japan Korean Friendship Festival” that will take place at the C hall of the COEX exhibition centre in Korea on the 14th of September. My first reaction was amazement that one year has already passed since last time when I was excited about being an MC in such a big event for the first time in my life!

Time passes so quickly recently….(lol) Please come and enjoy the event this year again since it is a fun event where you can watch a lot of traditional songs and dances from both Japan and Korea.♪

I guess that Term 2 has started for school students since it is already September. How is your school after a long break? I spent time with my parents after a long absence, at the beginning of September, and I had a little late (lol) summer holiday.

A

B

I had a fruitful time having my birthday celebration organised by a friend of mine and having a day trip to visit my friend living in a country side. ☆

This is a big rainbow that I found in the place I was travelling. I thought this was one of the rewards that god gives us from time to time.

C

By the way, I will do my best again at work because I feel refreshed.!

Fragrance of Autumn

31 August 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20153628/

If you are in Korea, have you seen the TV program “the king of food”?

For the first time I ate some sausage that was pork stuffed in intestine, called ”Soonde” and I realised that in this world there are still many things and products that I have never tried yet.

I was basically the type of person who was hesitant to challenge something new; but recently I started to come to think that since I only live once I had better enjoy trying many different things without any preconceived ideas. ♪

The other day, when I went back to Japan I ate my favourite raw fish, sashimi, at a Japanese style drinking place with a friend of mine.

bb

I was so happy that I sent a picture of myself with sashimi to my mother.

Then she said “I understand if you take a picture of yourself holding a piece of cake but it is somewhat interesting to be in a photo holding a plate of sashimi”.

When I was told that, I certainly felt a little funny? (lol)

Lately I have been working hard in preparation for a Korean production and also in a shoot in Japan.

It is the end of August and I wonder if Autumn is starting gradually?

Comfortable nights with the sounds of insects in Autumn continue and it makes me feel good.

bbbb

I am into knee length skirts recently. ☆

My Way of Spending Summer Time

17 August 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20103076/

I feel as if recently things have been very hectic with traveling between Japan and Korea this summer.

I was scheduled to stay for a week in Japan and another week in Korea and this gave me trouble dealing with what was in my refrigerator.

I bought a lot of fresh food and vegetable and the time of departure had approached before consuming it all.

So, I had a hard time to adjusting the amount of food to be eaten and bought.

I ended up eating up all the fruits and vegetables in breakfast, lunch and dinner on the day before I needed to move.

I had to take care of many different things. Also, as I wrote this the other day, I bought a new pair of sun glasses because my eyes get tired on days when the sun is strong.ー.♪

hhhh

When I sent an e-mail saying “look, I have two pairs of sun glasses〜.” jokingly to my mother, she replied “Oh〜, Why are you wearing two pairs?”

One is actually a print on a t-shirt.☆

Because I usually don’t wear sunglasses much, once I was wearing a pair walking in a town feeling a little excited saying to myself “Wow, I disguised myself. Do I feel like a celebrity (?)” Then, I was called “Fujii-san” as usual by a person passing by.

What? (lol)

I think the sunglasses add more fun in my summer fashion.

Also, I think the preview of “The King of Food”, a tv program, has aired. I will appear in the program from 20:55 on KBS on the 21st of August.

hhhhhhhh

The shoot has already finished and I challenged myself to eat Korean food that I have never eaten before.

I hope you can see my many different kinds of facial expressions. Please make sure to watch the program if you are in Korea!

There is also some work that I have done in Japan that I can let you know about very soon. Please look forward to it.☆

Rainbow

4 August 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20064527/

Recently I have been busy with film shoots in Korea.

There were many outdoors shoots and it was boiling hot, so I got a little exhausted this time.

I am usually resistant towards heat but I’m afraid I may be not able to cope well with direct sun light.

When we are under the fierce sun beams all day, eyes get tired first don’t they.. .

Everyone, please take preventative measures towards heat stroke by taking water and salt frequently!!

a0271239_21462422

Look at the big rainbow that is thiiiiis big made by rain that fell for a moment on such a hot day.

a0271239_21462511

It might be the biggest rainbow that I have ever seen in my life. It is true that rainbows are made to be like bridges stretching over.☆

It became double for just a moment and what a happy moment it was.

If the sky is very open, it makes me feel good after all!

a0271239_21462670

Then, after the rainbow even a sunset showed up.

Looking at the beautiful sky gave me strength and I worked hard in the shoot with the combined efforts of all the co-casters and staff members.

26 Years Old!

23 July 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/20024942/

I, Mina Fujii, has become 26 years old safely on the 15 of July.♪

1

I used to imagine in my childhood that the age 26 projects a very mature adult image; however, when I confronted the age, I don’t feel that way? (lol)

However, I have met many kinds of people and had different experiences during these 26 years, which has resulted in there being less fear than before.

That aspect has made me think that I become an adult.

Aging might be not bad.☆

On my birthday, I received messages, presents, letters and video clips, etc. from a lot of people.

I had not felt my birthday was approaching up to about the night time of the 14th but, because of the reminders, on the right 15th day, I was able to feel it was real all of sudden and I feel really thankful for that. Sorry for the late thank you.

Above all I was so touched by the thoughtfulness received from all of you, so that I was able to start my 26th year with joy.

I will forge ahead with the strong power that your support has given me.

I had a film shoot on the day of my birthday and I received a cake as a surprise on site as well. I laughed and smiled a lot and it made my dimples almost dig through.(lol)

2

All the people who read this blog, let’s laugh and smile a lot together through the year from now on. ♪

I will continue to try to convey my different thoughts in this blog!

Moreover, the special introductory program about “Empress Gi” that is coming very soon, on NHK BS premium, will be on air from 9pm on the 27th of July, Sunday, and repeated from 11am on the 2nd of August, Saturday.

I was casted as a compere of the program with Chikayo Tashiro who is a commentator on Korean dramas. ☆

Please watch the preview special program as well as the drama.

A Story of Camellia Sasanqua

8 July 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19978106/

I have not written this till now in this blog because I have been thinking it would be hard to explain.

However, I will write it this time since I really want to show you all.

Even if I say so, it is not a serious story at all but about a play that I found out about and I was really into when I was small.

I would like to introduce this because I believe nobody else (except me) in Japan has played this game even if you looked for someone.

Have you ever looked really closely into the nut of Camille sasanqua?

My grandparents’ house had a tree of camellia sasanqua and I used to play house with the seeds of camellia sasanqua dropped in their garden when I visited them.

Then afterwards, the game I was into was the puzzle of camellia sasanqua seeds.

A camellia sasanqua gets a big round nut and it opens up and drops a lot of brown seeds from inside, and they get scattered around.

nnnnn

The many seeds that drop in the garden are all in strange shapes, but if you look for matching shapes, you can occasionally find the sibling seeds which were originally in the same nut. This is like a 3D puzzle.

nn

When I found the match, I was extremely happy and I still keep the camellia sansanqua nuts that I played with in those days.

When I moved house the other day, those nuts appeared.

This is the reason why I thought I would like to write about them.

As you can see in the photo, they match perfectly?

Even though this is a maniac’s game, everyone, please try this camellia sansanqua seed puzzle without fail!

Because I was a kid growing up in nature, I sometimes get carried away alone by stories of insects and stories of plants somehow and I feel sorry about it (lol).

Because putting the photo of only camellia sansanqua seeds is too abstract, I will put a photo of my recent casual clothes.

mmm

Because I love no sleeve clothes, I am only wearing them taking advantage of being in summer.

I recently got involved in a TV program, so I will let you know again when the ‘on air’ time is approaching.

Do My Best in the Second Half of 2014♪

2 July 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19958954/

Recently, I am really into vegetable sticks and I was dropping by the convenient store to get vegetable sticks before work and I went to the film set.

a0271239_20493970

I like cucumber sticks best. Summer is the tasty vegetable season.♪

Because I have had time to be relaxed in Japan after a long time without it and I am also enjoying girls’talk.

a0271239_20494014

When I am in a café, I often drink black tea. So as a result, the recent amount of black tea I am drinking is overwhelmingly .

Girls are creatures that can talk endlessly. My feelings were able to be refreshed by talking about many things as well as having sweets.

In June, I went to Korea and attended the handing over ceremony by the committee of The Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival. This was the festival where I walked on the red carpet last year and this year I was appointed to be an ambassador of advertisement of the festival. I am looking forward to the opening ceremony on the 25th of July.

I am always thankful to my fans for doing things for me such as giving me flowers and sending fan mail to celebrate the screening of the movies “Jyoshizu” and “MONSTERZ” and an album that fans of “We got married. Global” made.

I would always like to make an effort and to continue to grow better to be able to meet your expectation that all my fans have. I hope I can show you that I am pushing myself again as an actress in my new pieces of work. Please continue to support me, “Mina Fujii”.

Ladies’ Tresses (Pearl’s Twist)

25 June 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19936163/

I found the flowers “ladies’ tresses” that I have loved since my childhood.

a0271239_21543535

This flower looks like it’s going around on the spot but it is actually growing upward. It gives me courage somehow.☆

Because I have spent a lot of time travelling, recently, I have not stopped reading many paperback books that I bought in a book shop. Every time I visit book shops, they excite me!

My favourite right now is a novel called “Juju”(the sound of sizzling) by Banana Yoshimoto. This is a story located in a steak house. It is a sensitive and heart felt story. I truly love all of the novels by Banana Yoshimoto. Please read the book without fail.♪

a0271239_21543599

The other day when I was bored in a waiting room in a shoot, out of the blue I started playing the part of a policewoman in an investigation room looked through the blinds of a window, like you would see often in a detective drama.

However, what I saw was only my face peeking back at me because it was night time and the window was reflecting like a mirror. I suddenly started feeling shy but I took the opportunity to take a photo anyway. Even detectives cannot get a look outside if the investigation is on at night!

Effective Use of Time

14 June 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19898691/

I thought it was going to be hot like summer but it has become a rainy season now.

a0271239_10194475

It is somewhat difficult to make a choice of clothes in this season.

The photo was taken when I was excited, thinking summer had already come and before the rainy season began.

That day, we had a wild storm in the evening and it ended up being a terrible day after all. (lol)

These days I have had rushed shooting sessions in all kinds of places in the country side and in Tokyo but the shooting is coming to its final stages soon.

Because I don’t have much time at home, I feel greater accomplishment than usual when I can manage my laundry and tiding up with the small amount of time I can spend on it.

The timing of doing the laundry is important since we are in the rainy season!

Apart from that, during a break from a shoot in Tokyo, I managed to spend some time again having tea together with a friend of mine, whom I have not seen for a long time.

a0271239_10194572

A photo with a great smile can be taken somehow when I have food in front of me.

By the way, were you able to watch the movie on screen yet?

Starting with the movie premiere, I have been so happy to have received your heart warming support on every occasion.

I will do my best to be energized by the support I receive from all of you.

Thank you for your continued support.

Make a Fresh Start

5 May 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19869681/

Everyone! Have you seen the magazines and tv programs related to Jyoshizu?

a0271239_13454097

I cannot help but look forward to the movie opening on the 7 of June.

I am extremely happy to be able to meet the five girls who cannot gather easily again on the 7th because the opening ceremony for the Jyoshizu movie is scheduled on that day.

Some of my friends said they saw “Monsterz” and that it was very moving. The movie is a powerful movie. I had better watch it in a cinema.☆

Then, to tell you about myself recently, I have spent many days intensely shooting in the countryside.

Because the shooting place was full of nature, though I have been busy…  I have been healed by beautiful glowing buds and the smell of trees and plants in the early summer. I wish I can talk about the story soon..

Moreover, I have moved recently. Changing the environment that I have been used to is a big event due to my personality and it would take me a long time to get used to a new place. However, I realised that work like scraping off unnecessary stuff and recognising valuable things which have been buried till now are really important.

a0271239_13454155

It may apply in human relationships and life itself.

Whilst making a fresh start, I feel good every day.

The 24th of May

24th May 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19823677/

I will appear in the variety show “Bankuruwase” which will be on air from 13:30 on Fuji TV channel on the 24th of May (Sat.).

 a0271239_0413943

Because I have not been casted much in Japanese TV variety shows, I was nervous but had fun in the shoot.

I hope you can watch it without fail. You will be able to watch the movie “Jyoshizu” there as well.

I promptly opened the link of the TV schedule to make a booking to record the show, so as to not to forget about it, and I found a program commemorating the opening of the movie “MONSTERZ” from 15:55 on Nihon TV. This program is also a must watch.!

Then there is another one on the 24th.

In Korea, “SEBAKI” will be aired from 11:10 pm on MBC. This will be my second appearance in SEBAKI but I think I could talk a lot more than last time.

So do not miss it if you are in Korea.☆

On the 24th plenty of stuff to watch. Please do not forget to watch all.♪

I would love to talk again about the programs in detail after we see them –.

The photograph was taken when I had lunch with a friend of mine.

a0271239_0413911

I have had a relaxing time recently, after the drama shoot ended. I am wondering if I can challenge myself in learning something new.

Meeting in Korea

3rd April 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19639266/

As people who have seen the GWGM know about this, I love book shops. Recently, I paid a visit to a big book shop in Korea on my day off.♪

What I got was these two books.

a0271239_18364488

One of them is the magazine with myself on the cover page, “wedding21” and another one is surprisingly “BARFOUT”! If you visit a big shop (even in Korea), you can find many Japanese magazines and books-.

It cost 10320 won and it is equivalent of approx.1000 in Japanese yen and a bit more expensive than in Japan.

However, I was excited to wonder if some people might be reading my essay, even in Korea.

Then, these are the Orbis photographs I discovered when I was walking around Myeongdong with my friend who came to see me from Japan. When I asked if it is ok to take a photo(s) of the sign boards, they allowed me to do so because I am the one who is on the signs.

I guess the photo book reveals my ordinary expressions in many ways. I am so happy to know that the software makes it possible for a lot of people regardless of which country they are from can look at it.☆

It should be enjoyable to see it since there is a variety of fashion in it as well.♪

And one more thing; I am on the cover and on a few pages of the magazines called “Wedding 21” being sold in Korea now.

Since this is the first time that I appear alone on a cover of a Korean magazine, it makes me feel special.♪

If you are in Korea, please take a look.

Here are other off camera shots, I usually like bright colours such as red and raspberry better than skin tone colours and pale colours as lipstick colours, but my lipstick colour this time is more vivid and stands out more than usual.

The colour is an adult sexy colour (lol). I was bit nervous about it.

It’s Snowing

Recently I had some fruitful days having interviews and having shoots for “Potato star” and having an audition (s),

However, when I had a shoot of an outdoor wedding for Potato star, I had to spend a long time outside and my body got frozen and throat got irritated. I wondered if I would be ok.

a0271239_742528

I turned on a humidifier and gargled some salt water, and I also tried to sleep and drink water as much as I could. I convinced myself “this is not a cold.. not a cold.”

I have made a miracle recovery, and now I am all well. (lol)

During trying those things, I have realised recently that it is actually citron tea that works effectively against the cold. ☆

The citron (paste) has usually been sold in Korea and you can make the tea easily if you pour hot water into the base of citron tea which is like jam in a jar.

The hot drink warms up your body and it is good for the throat and it is rich in vitamins and is also yummy at the same time.☆

I feel like it energises my heart and body.♪

Incidentally, citron tea (Yuzu-cha in Japanese) is Yuja-cha in Korean.

It sound similar.♪

By the way, I was in a hair salon in Tokyo the day before yesterday and saw fake snow falling from the pretty window of the salon and I was thinking blankly that the staff were doing a good job making the snow fall beautifully.

However, I realised it was not a shoot! and I looked at it really closely and noticed it was real snow!

It makes me think it was sudden and beautiful snow as if it was fake. I wonder when this coldness ends… if spring will really come?

I cannot wait for it.

Love You & Monocycle

1690474_232284793561880_570764860_n

The photo was taken at the scene of a monocycle of the Korean drama” Potato star”.

The scene was that Mina said “ I love you” with full of charm to Julien while riding on a monocycle and mended their relationship although she had a quarrel with him since she could not say “ I love you “ to him before.

In Japan, riding a monocycle was very popular when I was in primary school days, wasn’t it.

Most of my friends in my neighborhood could ride a monocycle. I couldn’t have imagined in those days that my achievement, after I practised very hard for 10 days under the boiling sun in the midsummer, could result fruitfully in the present moment like this.

You never know what happens in life! Thank you, my grandpa in the heaven, for buying me a monocycle.

By the way, the scene that I went in a circle around Julien by monocycle was taken that way as I was going around a camera on the monocycle and the camera was rotating 360 degrees to focus on me because the scene was meant to be from the point of view of Julien. The real hard work was done by supporting staff around us. The camera was rotating, so the staff were running around in a circle hiding themselves desperately not to be shot in the film. It was rather fun to watch it as it was like a mini sport carnival. Thanks for that, it became a nice scene. ♪

Talking about “ I love you” in Japanese, I wonder how often everyone uses it. In my opinion, we do not use it that much…….do we?

I heard that “Sarangheyo.” and “ I love you.” are often used but……..I understand Mina’s feeling that she was too shy to say it in “ Potato star” and it would be because of the Japanese people’s characteristics.(lol)

New Year Day 2

Everyone, it’s been Chinese New Year holiday time (called sorural) in Korea, since yesterday till the 2nd of February!

I have heard it is a very big holiday in Korea but I have been in the middle of the shoot of ”Potato Star” straight away since the first day of the new year holiday (lol).

Have you, the people of Korea, been watching the Potato Star on TV? It seems that the character Mina and the character Julian have started dating (lol).

I am enjoying myself in this drama by experiencing things that I don’t usually experience, such as having a surprise party in the water and playing a survival game and so on

a0271239_1444880

Survival games are popular in Korea but I wonder where they can be played in Japan?

People shoot each other with guns which put a colour on them when they are hit by the fake bullets, but I was a bit nervous on the filming site because I had to shoot a gun even though it isn’t real.

When a bullet hits a bullet proof protector on the chest, there is no pain but if it hits other parts it is a little painful.. that’s what I’ve heard…

It was Mina who looked cool as a sniper in the end. ☆

Normal People

19th January 2014

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/19361225/

Korean documentary program “Good person” was on aired few days ago.

I translated the title of the program as “Good person” last week but I think it will be better to translated it as “People we liked” because of the content of this program.

The contents in the program included the filming of Potato star and I cooked in my Korean home. You can see my private life which you can’t see before.

a0271239_16282113

You must be very happy to see me as a normal person so I didn’t act cool in front of the camera.(Laugh) It will be wonderful if one day I can also join such a documentary program in Japan☆

a0271239_16282438

“People we liked” has revealed the filming of Potato star. We filmed in water all day and it was really a tough day.

Although we shoot in an indoor swimming pool but it was not open day of the swimming pool, so it’s really cold there. Mr. Julian and I shivered all the time when filmed it. We also dived into the water and it’s really hard.

But it looked really good on TV which makes me forget all the hard work. It is really cold in Korean recently and it’s easy to catch cold so I try my best to keep myself warm and eat lots of vegetable and fruits☆

We always eat orange during winter time. Of course I like orange, but frozen orange is my favorite. It can be preserved for a long time so we can enjoy it happily in this cold winter. Korean people usually don’t eat frozen orange. But in Japan, schools sometimes provide frozen orange as a dessert♪

This is my recommendation way to eat orange. Please at least try once especially those of you in foreign country. BTW, small oranges are good to be frozen. Take frozen orange from refrigerator and wait for about 20 mins when it turns into half frozed.

I think this is the best way to eat it♪

I haven’t open my home in Japan to the public. But because of this program, I show my home in Korean and my daily life and at work. I think I cannot reveal more true self than in GWGM so I feel terrified about the broadcasting.

You can understand more about the me in 25 years old through the 30 mins show. That’s why I decided to join the shooting.

There’s only a little left in 2013 but how has everyone been? I spent that last day with Lee Chehi who is a friend of mine in Korea and was my co-cast in the drama “Loving Mazon”.

Because it was last day of the year, we went to Myeongdong and also Korean sauna wishing we could have fun in a typical Korean way. Myeongdong had an enjoyable atmosphere like a typical end of year being filled with a lot of tourists!

Thanks to the ”WGMW” shoot this year, I feel thankful from my heart that people from many countries recognized me.

Through this year I was able to be involved in many wonderful pieces of work with support from a lot of various kinds of people. In 2014 as well, I hope I can keep running as who I am, treasuring the power a lot of people gave me in 2013.

I bought one of the cute hats being sold there and my collection of hats has increased again.☆

And then again, it was a Korean sauna that I visited for shoot the other day. This time I went there for fun not for shoot and I had a go of entering the proper steamer (chamber).

I was surprised at the heat which was hotter than I imagined but I heard that there is even a hotter chamber. Making a sheep looking head is cute and fun as usual.

Lastly I hope that I could be involved in much more work and in other ways as well, to be able to respond to your love supporting me. So, please keep supporting the actress Mina Fujii from now on too. I wish you all a happy new year!

Happening!

18th December 2013

One lovely winter morning, I was going to wash my bed sheet and rolled the sheet with other washings on it together and threw them in the washing machine. I went out to the neighborhood to buy some vegetables while the washing gets done.

Today is the day that I decided to work on housekeeping and I was trying to do my best with cooking and came back home. Then I realized that I cannot find my mobile phone. Even when I looked for it hard, I could not find it, so I suspected it might possibly be…

When I looked in the washing machine, the smart phone was with all the other washing (like human) sunk in the water… it was found at rinsing stage.. I cannot forget the scene even now. (lol).

I must have wrapped my smart phone in the sheet and put it in the washing machine without noticing. I felt pessimistic. I said to myself I have already become a lofty person!. However, by SNS and backup data, 90% of my data was able to be reclaimed.

I felt thankful for this very convenient era. Wow! I was surprised! (lol )

And then, the other day, I wrote here that I could go to the place I had wished to visit. That was Jjimjilbang (the Korean sauna) which was in Episode 33 of Potato Star.

The sheep looking head which appears all the time in the scene of the Jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) in Korean dramas, this is the way of rolling a towel called ‘Sheep Hat’ I tried for the first time and I had an enjoyable time shooting.

It is rather difficult to predict the weather in Korea since it snows and roads get frozen now and then but the coldness suddenly goes away unexpectedly. I wonder if it gets colder from now on. As I have bought a fluffy jacket for the shooting site, it will be useful.

I have been casted from Ep 29 of ”Potato star 2013 QR3” which has been on air by Korean tvN and well received.

a0271239_2094067

I cranked in without any trouble the other day and go to the shooting site with nervousness and excitement getting into a new genre called sitcom (comedy).

As I was just one of the viewers who has enjoyed watching the drama “potato star” till now, I feel as though I am a normal viewer who has one day suddenly stepped into the world of the story.

It got really cold in Korea, so I would like do my best in shooting by taking care of my condition with a sufficient counter-plan against the cold.

My role, Mina that I am playing (same as my real name in the drama) is a character who is a careless but hard worker. It makes me put all my heart into making this role to be loved by everybody.

a0271239_2094155

By the way, on the day when I cranked in, there was a staff member who was sleeping while sitting on a chair in the shooting site as you can see in the photo.

a0271239_2094360

As I expected, it is a typical tough shooting place in Korea. I suspected that he must be so tired and I had kept an eye on him. However, I realized there was something wrong. What, no leg! I thought that it must be a staff member but it was actually the jumper that he took off which does not have the owner inside (like an empty shell) (lol).

The bulky look that can take the Korean cold weather and the way the sleeves were stuck in pockets and the hood leaning forward made me think the figure of the jumper completely human.

I laughed to myself not thinking much of it and then the owner of the jumper, that staff member said that that is my younger brother, and it caused my second laugh. It warmed up my heart even in severe cold weather.

Then, the PV by Juju” mamotte agetai (want to protect)”that I was filmed in the other day was released and the information was revealed! I was so anxious to tell you earlier (lol). I was so happy at private level that I could be involved with Juju’s work since I am a big fan of her. I feel attracted by the PV which describes the lovers ’warm feeling in their daily life delicately and it makes me happy.

The music and lyrics of the “Mamotteagertai” were done by Yuji Kitagawa of “YUZU” and these lyrics really grab your heart–。 I have answered that my ideal person is “a person that protects me” to a question in the past, and when I said that, the response was often ”Do you like a person like Superman who rescues you when a monster appears.” (lol)

However, when I am reading these lyrics I realize that there are many things that you protect and things you protect for someone else in our daily lives. At the same time as I was declaring my ideal type of person, I often want to protect the other person once I fall for them after all.

So that’s why I really have shared the same feelings with these lyrics. ☆ Please listen to this song a lot this winter.

9th October 2013

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/18758258/

Recently, I’ve started walking (taking strolls) even in Korea. I really love to take walks in places that are rich in nature, so I keep walking on and on in the soothing atmosphere, even while being bit by mosquitoes (laugh) I have no idea why, but I am very popular among mosquitoes.

I wonder… is my blood that tasty? Those girls(mosquitoes) are a bit nasty indeed (laugh). Recently, I found a very nice Japanese “set meal” style restaurant in Korea, so I would like to introduce it to you.

The restaurant is ” HAKATANAKA” , and it’s right by the Hongik University Station. They offer “real” Japanese taste, and the sauce and seasonings they provide are all from Japan.

So I’ve decided to visit this restaurant whenever I miss Japanese food when I’m in Korea . I actually went there two days in a row by myself recently. Just so you know, I’m okay with eating out alone (※”hitori-gohan” :it’s a term used in Japan, usually when young women eat out alone), rather, I’m quite fond of it.

Of course, it depends on the atmosphere of the restaurant too, but it feels good to be able to spend my own time in a carefree way, at a restaurant that I’ve wanted to go to.

The other day, I had a shooting by the sea in Korea. I guess this would be my first time to visit the beach in Korea? I’ll let you know the details when I’m able to release the information☆

Final Episode of Hwasubun

1st October 2013

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/18710450/

I have finished the final shooting for “Story Show Hwasuboon”☆ It will be aired on Thursday, Oct 3rd at 11:20pm. I was able to participate from the show’s first broadcast as a cast on the drama, and on the 3rd airing I was again casted in one of the drama as well as joining the studio shoot. From the 4th airing, I participated as an MC in the show as well. I am so very grateful to this show for giving me the opportunity to experience many challenges. The final airing is also filled with excitement, so if you are in Korea, please have fun watching the show.

And, it seems that the poster and trailer for the movie “Jinro Game” has been released! http://jinro-game.net/ With regards to this movie, there weren’t many rules or instructions on how to move around or act, so I was acting and struggling purely on instinct as my character in the movie. So I think when you see me on screen, my actions would look very real. T

his movie portrays in detail, how young people would feel and act (psychologically) when they are placed in a situation where you have to kill people in order to stay alive. So I would be happy if you could make a trip to the movie theater, without feeling too resistant because of this movie genre. I had goosebumps when I saw the trailer. I’m looking forward to seeing it.

It’s already October–. I’m surprised by how time flies.

By the way, my favorite stores/shops in Korea are also on the magazine “Mapple Seoul” so if you ever come visit Korea, I hope you take a look at it!

South Korea & Japan Cultural Festival

24th September 2013

http://minafujii.exblog.jp/18670394/

Japan Korea Festival ended full of enjoyment and popularity. There were plenty of breath taking festival performances that we will not be able to see easily even if we are in Japan or Korea. I was very much moved watching those performances from the edge of the stage when I was being an MC.

I was extremely happy to have a lot of visitors. Thank you very much. But in between my work schedule, I have also spent some time doing things that are summer vacation-like. Like going shopping and eating sundaes. I was also able to see my parents after quite a while, so I am feeling recharged, both mind and body.

Right now, I am preparing for a new project. It’s my first time to do this type of filming so… I’ll work hard to focus on this new challenge.

I was happy to be able to show up in the NIIGATA booth since I come from Niigata. Also when I heard Hiiya response in the “Okinawa Soran chant” and the musical instruments it reminded me of the honeymoon with hongki (hong-chan).

Anyway, it seemed that FTISLAND has made a comeback. I am giving support to them. Thinking about “WGMG”, I wondered if the program has finished in Japan. There was a scene where I made a lunch box. I really made an effort with the lunch box even after I got up at 3 am, but the whole thing was not shown on TV. I will put it in the blog using this update. The taste was not that enjoyable?… but I tried my best…(lol) Tadaaaa!
